No matter your academic or career story, and whether you’re recently graduated or have been working longer than you care to say – your life experiences matter, especially to our undergraduate students.
Each semester we host two alumni career panels attended by students registered in one of our three capstone courses. That means each semester we go in search of more than six alumni who would be willing to come back to campus (or Skype in from far away) to share their story, quell anxieties, and be a resource, if not inspiration, for embracing the challenge of spreading one’s wings to fly.
“It’s hard to say who enjoys the experience more – the alumni, our students, or me – I love bringing alumni back to campus, hearing their stories, and reconnecting,” says Department Chair Greg Dickinson. “What matters most, however, is that our undergrads get a glimpse into what their future could hold and find inspiration in the stories and experiences our alumni share.”
Interested in participating? We hope so! This opportunity is not limited to northern Colorado residents. Alumni have flown in for the day and we’ve had them join us virtually. Whatever your needs – we can probably make it work.
Here are the dates and times for our Fall 2018 semester panels, which occur on campus in the Lory Study Center. (We provide a complimentary parking pass):

  • Wednesday, October 10 from 2-2:50 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 11  from 9:30-10:45 a.m.

If you’re interested in participating in either (or would like to be considered for a future panel), please email carol.busch@colostate.edu with your preferred date no later than September 15.
