Join us for one of two upcoming alumni panels this spring!

On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, learn from esteemed communication studies graduates who will speak about their careers and professional experience since graduating from CSU. We’ll see you at:

  • 2 – 3 p.m., LSC Room 312

All communication studies students and those interested in the major are welcome to attend! This is your chance to learn from those who have been where you are—hear their stories, ask questions, and walk away better prepared to launch a fulfilling career doing what you love.

About the Panelists

Assistant Director, UC Boulder Center for Leadership

Jessi was born and raised in Colorado, where she dedicated her career to leadership development and higher education. She is the Assistant Director at the University of Colorado Boulder’s Center for Leadership, focusing on student growth and leadership development across campus. Jessi is passionate about helping students realize their potential and making meaningful and innovative impacts in her community. Prior to working at CU Boulder, Jessi spent time at both Colorado State University and University of Northern Colorado. She holds a M.S. in Prganizational Leadership from CU Boulder (2025) and a B.A. in Communication Studies from Colorado State University (2015).

Outside her professional life, she enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking, paddleboarding, and skiing. She is also an avid reader and currently serves on the Broomfield Library Friends Foundation Board of Directors and the One Book One Broomfield committee.

Director of Learning, Woodward

Emily leads the strategy, design, and implementation of learning programs and operations for Woodward, a global aerospace and industrial engineering and manufacturing organization. Previously, Emily served as the Directory of Academic Operations at Colorado State University System, where she directed a multi-million-dollar portfolio and played a key role in scaling academic program, cross-campus collaboration, and student success outcomes by driving system-wide alignment.

Emily is a double alumna of Colorado State University with a Ph.D. and B.A. in Communication Studies and an M.A. in Conflict Resolution from the University of Denver. Beyond her professional achievements, Emily is a ferocious reader, domestic horticulturist, and a wannabe surf bum. She loves a good laugh and enjoys time outside, adventuring with her family and two German-Shorthaired Pointers.

Business Development Specialist, Blue Federal Credit Union

Andrew Dewey (B.A. ’23; M.A. ’25) is a Business Development Specialist at Blue Federal Credit Union. After six years at CSU, he found his niche as a community connector for Northern Colorado. His role at Blue involves a blend of sales, teaching, and event planning to build business relationships and uphold company branding. He also helps organize community volunteering efforts and secures sponsorship and grant funds for business partners.

Outside of work, Andrew can be found on the Poudre Trail training for the Horsetooth Half Marathon, trying a new sport (he’s at 16 so far), or watching reality TV shows.
