Susie Wargin began her communications career in Fort Collins as an intern in radio, while attending Colorado State University. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications from CSU, she pushed buttons at Fort Collins AM radio station and on Christmas Day 1992, she took a shift no one wanted at Channel 93.3 (KTCL-FM) and started her DJ career on the FM dial.
In November of 1995, Susie became the midday DJ at KBPI in Denver, where she “Rocked the Rockies” for almost 9 years. While Susie loves music, she also has a passion for sports. In February of 1998 she began doing sports updates during “The Zoo” on Newsradio KOA and eventually became the first full-time female sports reporter for KOA. Susie joined 9News in September of 2001 as the high school prep sports anchor. Three years later, after hosting the “Prep Rally”, the Sonny Lubick Show and filling in for the guys, Susie was hired to be the morning weekday sports anchor which she did for 10 years. In 2013, Susie got her residential real estate license and is a full time Realtor with RE/MAX Alliance. She also returned to her radio roots in 2014 where she was a sports talk show host for a few years and since January of 2017 has been the midday DJ on 103.5 The Fox. In 2019, she became the Denver Broncos Sideline Reporter for the KOA Broncos Radio Network. In 2022, she started a podcast called Cut Traded Fired Retired.
