About the panelists
Chase Baker graduated from CSU with a B.A. in Journalism & Media Communication and an M.S. in Public Communication & Technology. Originally from the Eastern Plains of Colorado, where he was born and raised on a farm and ranch, Chase came to Fort Collins to attend CSU and has stayed here ever since. All in all, he spent over 12 years involved with Colorado State University—both as a student and a full-time employee, where he spent the past several years working as a Social and Digital Media Manager. This March, Chase began a new role with an agricultural company called Nutrien, working as their Digital Content Creator where he will help with content strategy, design, and analytics.
Morgan Boecker graduated from CSU with an M.S. in Public Communication & Technology. Morgan is the Producer Communications Manager at Certified Angus Beef®, where she serves cattlemen through multi-media efforts to grow the Certified Angus Beef® brand’s presence across the cattle industry. Growing up on her family’s commercial Angus cow-calf operation near Elkins, Arkansas, gives her perspective to relate with cattlemen. Her communication efforts for the brand help producers make proactive management decisions to produce quality beef.
Sarah James graduated from CSU with an M.A. in Communication Studies. Sarah has been a nonprofit fundraiser in the arts and human services for over six years. Currently, she serves as the Development Manager for the Art Students League of Denver (ASLD). Before her work with ASLD, she was the Manager of Individual Giving and Events at Warren Village in Denver. Prior to that, she worked for the Sexual Assault Victim Advocate Center and Poudre School District as the Sexual Assault Resource Team Peers Coordinator in Fort Collins. Before beginning her graduate studies, she served in a fundraising role for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America in Phoenix. She has a B.A. in Communication from Arizona State University and her M.A. from CSU. For the last four years, she has been a youth mentor with Denver Kids and serves on the Executive Committee of the Denver Kids Young Professionals Board. In her free time, she loves to travel, cook, and hike with her partner, Savanna, and spend relaxing weekends with her cat, Sunny.
Nicole Laydon graduated from CSU with a B.A. and M.A. in Speech Communication. Nicole is a Colorado native who grew up in Littleton and received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from CSU. After meeting her husband, a fellow CSU alum, the pair lived in the Wash Park area and Nicole worked as the Promotions Director for Channel 93.3, KTCL. Following her stint in radio, Nicole and her husband moved to Los Angeles. While there Nicole was the National Publicity Coordinator for Paramount Pictures and worked on the marketing campaigns for everything from the Trasnformers franchise to True Grit. Upon moving back to Denver, Nicole decided to use her past experiences in marketing and publicity to pursue a career in real estate. As someone who lives and plays in the Denver metro area, Nicole is passionate about the city she calls home and is committed to helping her clients find the lifestyle they truly desire. She utilizes all her experience in marketing million-dollar films to ensure that her clients receive the red-carpet treatment, fully dedicated to the highest levels of client service, care, and the undivided attention to detail they deserve.
