Lunch & Learn Event
Join us on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 12 p.m. for a discussion with acclaimed documentary filmmaker Skye Fitzgerald in the Lory Student Center, Room 308-10. Bring your own lunch and lots of questions!
Skye Fitzgerald
Skye Fitzgerald has built a career documenting human rights and social justice issues around the world. He has shot for Dateline NBC, CNN, the History Channel, the Travel Channel, and ABC. Fitzgerald most recently directed a trilogy of films on the global refugee crisis, including Hunger Ward, which is part of the 2022 ACT Film Festival here at CSU.
Filmed with unprecedented access within a sensitive conflict-zone in Yemen, Hunger Ward (Skye Fitzgerald, 2020, United States, 40 minutes) documents two women healthcare workers fighting to thwart the spread of starvation against the backdrop of a forgotten war. Come see Hunger Ward on Friday, April 1 at 4:30 p.m. at The Lyric (1209 N. College Ave.).
