Join us on Wednesday, June 21, 6 to 7:30pm, for this month’s NoCo Scoop Discussion at the Old Town Library.

Text: "THE SCOOP: THE ART OF ASKING QUESTIONS. 6:00-7:30 PM. Old Town Library. Wednesday, June 21. The Deliberative Journalism Project."Part of our Center for Public Deliberation’s (CPD’s) Deliberative Journalism Project, these adventurous public discussions aim to showcase different viewpoints to keep our community in touch with the diverse range of backgrounds, positions, and opinions that make us great. Each month, we will choose a topic relevant to our local community. Light refreshments will be provided.

This program will be led by CPD Director Martin Carcasson, and focus on the “Art of Asking Questions.” Asking questions is a critical democratic and collaborative problem solving skill, but in reality is rarely taught. Martin will share some key insights from the CPD facilitation training and the broader engagement and conflict management research on asking questions. Participants will then work together to identify or develop questions for us to be asking about our community (which may then be used as weekly questions in the Coloradoan Conversations platform or future SCOOP events). Be sure to bring your own best practices or resources for asking good questions to share!

You can RSVP to the event here.
