Hi folks! My name is Greg Zoda (he/him) and I’m from Nashua, New Hampshire. I attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas for my undergraduate education, where I double-majored in Communication and Political Science. I continued at Baylor for my master’s degree in Communication. My research centers on the rhetoric of online subcultures, political extremism, and popular mobilization. My master’s thesis investigated how reactionary subcultures use affect to recruit adherents, mobilize audiences, and constitute online communities. My research is indebted to critical theories of rhetoric and media, many of which are penned by scholars that come from marginalized communities. I have also been involved in high school and intercollegiate policy debate, as a competitor and coach, for over a decade. At CSU, I have taught Introduction to Public Speaking (SPCM 200) and Public Argumentation (SPCM 207).
