All undergraduate students in Communication Studies are invited to join our spring alumni panel!

On Tuesday, April 19 from 1-2 p.m. in the Lory Student Center, Room 372-374, Joel Delgado (’14, CEO at Panoptic Productions LLC and Global Media Technician at NBCUniversal Inc.), Jenna Farmer (’14, Events and Communications Specialist at Northern Water), Mike Hollander (’98, CEO of MOD Mission Critical), and Amanda Olgren (’06, Social Studies Teacher at Liberty High School) will speak about their careers and professional experience since graduating from CSU. They will also be available to answer student questions.

About the panelists

Joel Delgado graduated from CSU in 2014 with a B.A. in Communication Studies and Film Studies Minor. Joel is a filmmaker and photographer born and raised in Denver, Colorado. With the use of visual media, Joel crafts compelling stories to communicate complex ideas. Currently, Joel owns and operates Panoptic Productions LLC, a film and photo production company in Denver, and works with NBCUniversal as a media technician for their international broadcasting division.

Jenna Farmer graduated from CSU in 2014 with a B.A. in Communications Studies and Sociology Minor. Jenna is an events and communications professional offering nine years of experience in the event and hospitality industry. Jenna has excellent communications, customer service, and organizational skills that translate into successfully planning and implementing all phases of an event, resulting in diverse and high-quality productions. Currently, she is putting her skills to use as the Events and Communications Specialist for Northern Water, where she works in the Communications Department to plan conferences, corporate events, and tours, as well as assists with public outreach through news articles, press releases, and digital communications. 

Mike Hollander graduated from CSU in 2006 with a B.A. in Speech Communication and History Minor. After graduating from Colorado State University, I received my teaching license and have been teaching in the Colorado Springs area. I have taught and coached variety of subjects ranging from Speech to AP Macroeconomics. My passion is to help future generations find their voice, thrive and be active citizens in their communities.

Amanda Olgren graduated from CSU in 2006 with a B.A. in Speech Communication as well as Rhetoric and Media Studies Concentrations. After graduation, Amanda received her teaching license and has been working in the Colorado Springs area, where she is now a Social Studies Teacher at Liberty High School. She has taught and coached a variety of subjects ranging from Speech to AP Macroeconomics. Amanda’s passion is to help future generations find their voice, thrive, and be active citizens in their communities.
