As Russia’s aggression endures in Ukraine and the West has punished Russia with economic sanctions and “cancel culture,” the largest country in the world has irreversibly changed. The war symbol Z, which first emerged on Russia’s tanks engaged in Ukraine, has been strategically used in patriotic slogans meant to unite the nation in its alleged fight against Nazism and genocide.
