ACT Human Rights Film Festival has been selected by Colorado Creative Industries (CCI), a division of the Office of Economic Development and International Trade, to receive a grant through the Colorado Arts Relief Fund in support of its April 2022 film festival and year-round programming.
The Colorado Arts Relief Fund is a funding initiative passed by the State of Colorado Legislature in 2021 that directs up to $15.5 million for relief payments to eligible artists, crew members, and organizations.
ACT Human Rights Film Festival will receive $40,000 to help fund its annual film festival in Fort Collins in April 2022, in addition to its year-round efforts. This funding will help bring recent, critically acclaimed documentary films and talented filmmakers to northern Colorado in order to engage local communities in civic engagement, community action, and discussions on human rights and social justice through a global lens.
“We would like to thank CCI as well as our state legislators for making this generous investment to support our arts and cultural sector. The arts have been tremendously affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are honored to receive this investment to help sustain operations and programming,” said managing director Beth Seymour.
The 2022 ACT Human Rights Film Festival will take place in-person March 31 – April 3, with virtual offerings available April 4 – 10.
